Let’s remember that during 2022, the cooperative collected funds from its members and successfully purchased land to realize the project. A new round of fundraising will begin at the beginning of next year, which is a key step for continuing activities such as completing the main project, obtaining a building permit and designing an access road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At the regular assembly held on December 11, 2024 in Pala\u010da Moise, about thirty cooperative members attended, and the main topic was the further development of the Filozi\u0107i solar power plant.\u00a0A detailed work plan for the next year was presented, and we highlight the most important activities such as completing the main project, finalizing the investment study, obtaining a building permit and designing the access road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It was especially emphasized that the entire project is based on the joint investment of cooperative members, thus encouraging the development of an energy transition model that includes the local community. This approach provides an example of how island communities can be leaders in sustainable development through joint work and cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The ISLET project, focused on the development of energy communities and acceleration of the energy transition on the islands, was also presented at the assembly. The project, in which the City of Cres, the Island Movement and OTRA participate, includes the islands of Cres and Kor\u010dula as Croatian pilots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ISLET aims to overcome the specific barriers that island communities face, providing sustainable solutions for decarbonisation and energy self-sufficiency.\u00a0The community of Cres, through this and similar projects, is building the foundations for replicating sustainable energy initiatives on other islands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At the same time, it stands out as an example of synergy between local self-government, public institutions, entrepreneurs and citizens, showing how joint efforts can successfully realize the vision of energy transition and sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The ISLET project was financed by the LIFE
