Ivan Zoković from Pokret Otoka to Join the “Solar Energy 2025” Panel Discussion on October 2 in Zagreb

Solar energy is the future — and the future is built today. Among the many experts and speakers at the second Solar Energy 2025 seminar, to be held on October 2 at the Antunović Congress Center in Zagreb, will be our own Ivan Zoković Cola from Pokret Otoka, representing the LIFE ISLET project as a panelist in a roundtable on the challenges and potentials of solar energy.

What Can the Sun Do? More Than You Think

The Sun sends more energy to Earth in one hour than humanity consumes in an entire year. Yet in Croatia, solar power remains underutilized. That’s why this event is important — it brings together experts who know how to turn sunlight into sustainable, locally relevant, and long-term beneficial development.

The program includes numerous interesting presentations and one key highlight — a panel discussion featuring Ivana Dubravec from the City of Križevci, Ivan Zoković Cola from Pokret Otoka, and Damir Juričić from the Northern Adriatic Energy Community. The event is organized by Energetika Marketing and gathers those eager to lead the energy transition — from project designers and investors to city and community representatives.

The Sun and the Islands – A Natural Connection

The participation of Pokret Otoka and Ivan Zoković in this event highlights the fact that Croatian islands are natural leaders of the solar transition. Islands have enormous potential for solar energy production, but also face a series of challenges — from bureaucracy to grid infrastructure.

This is an opportunity for the voice of the islands to be heard — among experts, municipalities, and decision-makers. Pokret Otoka has long been an advocate for sustainable energy production models, local participation, and citizen energy communities. This panel discussion is yet another platform to amplify that voice.

How to Participate

The Solar Energy 2025 seminar will take place on October 2 at the Antunović Congress Center in Zagreb. Registration is open via the organizer’s official website. Participants are eligible for 7 professional development credits, including 1 credit in regulation. The event is intended for engineers, architects, entrepreneurs, public sector representatives, and all those interested in a sustainable energy future.

A Sustainable Future Powered by the Sun

As the world races toward renewable energy, our islands must not be left behind. Through Ivan Zoković’s participation in this professional event, Pokret Otoka reaffirms its role as an active partner in change — a voice for the community, an advocate of local energy production, and a champion of energy-sovereign islands.
